This charming spot is more than just a cafe; it’s a warm embrace on a chilly day, a haven where the aroma of rich coffee mingles with the sweet perfume of freshly baked goods.

OldByreSkye offers a menu that is as comforting as it is diverse, featuring homemade soups that warm the soul, alongside an array of scrumptious cakes that invite you to indulge. Customers raved about the coconut and sweet potato soup, a unique combination that left one diner so impressed he requested the ingredient list! And if you have a sweet tooth, the delectable selection of cakes won't disappoint—described by many, including Chris Dancer and Debbie Hackett, as simply divine, each slice tells a story of culinary passion and care.

The atmosphere here is cozy and welcoming, with the undeniable charm radiating from the friendly owners who make it their mission to ensure your visit is memorable. Stephen Watson echoed this sentiment in his review, expressing how the warmth of the reception transformed a dreary day into a delightful experience, highlighting that the cafe felt like home. We called here for lunch after a rainy morning at Dunvegan Castle. It's a lovely little place and the owners are so friendly. We tried their home made soup followed by cake, which were delicious.

Found by chance on a day out during our holiday. Hubby had coconut and sweet potato soup and was sufficiently impressed to ask for a list of ingredients! Cakes were also incredibly good, as was the varied choice of coffees. The owners were lovely and friendly. Highly recommended!

The host is wonderful. They have an incredible amount of knowledge of the environment. They also have a great history of traveling around the world. They make many products locally. Dont forget what in the notion of a remote island of scotland. The food is made with passion. There is a story in everything.

We had been moved on from Mor Books as they closed early! The reception here was totally the opposite. We were made welcome and at home. The coffee and cakes were excellent and we had a good chat with the owner. The afternoon trip out on a grim day was not a waste of time after all.

Wonderful Café by the road we stumbled upon after being stranded in the area with a flat tire and no mobile reception. The owners were our saviors and treated us with excellent coffee (you can choose from a variety of beans) and cake. You can also buy beautiful greeting cards and photo prints. Highly recommended!

Very glad to have found this gem. Myself and my husband popped in for some lunch, we were immediately greeted by the very friendly owners. We felt very welcomed! We had salmon rolls which were absolutely delicious and some lovely Columbian coffee. Highly recommend.
